Dorothy’s new studio exhibition (the first since lockdown) is an immersive exploration into the history of crime movies.
The studio has been transformed into an investigative ‘crime wall’ that plots the connections between over 120 crime and detective movies from the last 80 years. Featuring heists, whodunnits, gangster and detective thrillers that have kept cinema audiences on the edge of their seats.
Using all the evidence on display in the studio, visitors are invited to become a true detective and answer a series of questions about films to ‘crack the case’ for the chance to win a prize.
Exhibition runs from Monday 17th October – Friday 18th November (weekdays only 10am – 5pm). There is a special late night opening event on Friday 28th October (5pm – 7pm).
* we are taking advance bookings for the ‘crack the case’ challenge (1 hour time slots). Booking is not essential but may avoid disappointment. Please email hello@wearedorothy.com. You do not need to book to visit the exhibition.
Crime Wall has been devised by Oli Rogers (Designer at Dorothy). What started life as a simple lockdown project has morphed into an exhibition that has gathered as much ‘evidence’ as some of the fictional cases featured in the films it celebrates.
