A new creative space is coming to the Baltic Triangle, headed by jewellery designer and maker, DeeLyn.
The building, called Flux Studios, is located at 43 Jamaica Street and will be home to a number of creative happenings, including a local radio station and graphic design.
Originally from Portland, Oregon, DeeLyn thinks the area is the perfect place for her work.
She said, “I was looking to move out of my home studio, and I found this space which is perfect for me to do my silversmithing.
“It is way too big for me, and I know enough people who need space so we are using it as a creative hub.”
DeeLyn completed a silversmithing course at Hope University and started her business in 2010.
Her jewellery is primarily silver-based and is sold in 15 different galleries across both the UK and the US, including the Liverpool Bluecoat.
DeeLyn said, “The Baltic Triangle is an ideal location for creative businesses because it’s great to be surrounded by like-minded people, which is a good way to network what you do, and also be inspired to stay creative.”
The building has undergone an extensive refurbishment and is very nearly ready for action.
The creative tenants are planning to move into the space in mid-October, and there are currently only two spaces left available to rent.
