Whilst many of us in the creative industry are being inundated with “experts and mentors” who can save our business during the COVID19 crisis, the Baltic Podcast team had a realistic conversation with Professor Michael Parkinson.
There is probably no academic more knowledgeable about the Merseyside business environment and so we felt it is important to get his view on where he thinks the local economy might be headed in these troubling times. While many of his comments do not paint a rose-tinted picture by any means, he believes there IS light at the end of a long and dark tunnel.
Whilst nobody can really anticipate on what the outcome will be for various business sectors, Professor Parkinson discusses the probable effect on industries such as Retail, the visitor economy and creative/tech businesses.
