Hobo Kiosk – The Pub? Will it Happen and What You Can Do

Baltic Triangle OGs Hobo Kiosk unveil new plans to change their Vintage Curiosity Shop into a Vintage Curiosity pub. Hobo Kiosk: The Pub will be a community-led pub and “Wondrous Place” for lovers of “Good Beer and Good Company”.

Hobo Kiosk have been selling wares from their Bridgewater Street shop longer than most businesses have been set up in the Baltic Creative Hub. They have outlived a fair few businesses in the area too. With daytime footfall sinking in the area, the famous curiosity shop has decided that survival means diversifying.

Although the shop has never been a stranger to holding stripped-back gigs and events for festivals such as Threshold and Liverpool’s Light Night, Hobo Kiosk has always held its focus on crafts, upcycling, vintage goods, obscure vinyl and furniture. They have allowed their store and platforms to be a support and an income for many local artists and craftspeople to sell their work: ceramics, crochets, home-recorded music and more.

As well as this, Hobo Kiosk hold their semi-regular Hobo Bazaars at key locations in the city to help independent businesses get noticed and sell their goods. Now, Hobo Kiosk’s famous duo, Delia and Tristan, are appealing to the community to show them some long-due support.

You now can invest in Hobo Kiosk: The Pub yourself via their Crowdfunder page. They have packed it with a vast array of cheeky, quirky rewards typical of the Hobo Kiosk we all know and love. Rewards include: named benches, name tiles and even a portrait of you in the pub, Hobo Kiosk mugs, T-shirts, pin badges.

There are many other fun and exciting things up there to convince you to help get this ship sailing and the Hobo Kiosk Pub off the ground.

The reviews speak for themselves; we all want to see Hobo Kiosk carry on the fight. Liverpool needs places that champion quality, local and handmade products in the fun, oddball way our city does best.

Crowdfunder pledge rewards range from £10 – £600, or you can pledge your own custom amount if money is tight.

You can follow Hobo Kiosk on Facebook, Twitter and Crowdfunder. If you can’t donate, a like, a share and a comment voicing support is always welcome and always needed.

Let’s make Hobo Kiosk: The Pub happen.
