Son of legendary session musician and long time Rod Stewart collaborator Jim Cregan, Mackenzie James Cregan has come from L.A. to the shores of Merseyside to shape his sound in the city of The Beatles, Echo & The Bunnymen, Cast and The La’s.
Mackenzie’s sound is shaped by his love for and heritage in solid 60s and 70s Rock & Roll, citing influences Nilsson, Dylan, Young forming a part of his catchy pop hooks and swinging, stirring instrumentation.
24 Kitchen Street will be hosting the young prodigy Mackenzie James Cregan, backed by his full band, for his single launch party. ‘We’ll Be Here’ is available now on Spotify, iTunes, Bandcamp and all major platforms.
MJW Management Michael Woolridge says ‘There’s a part of his dad in the music, and we’re excited that Mackenzie’s cutting his teeth in Liverpool because he’s a great songwriter on his own and we’ll be proud to have him’
‘A debut like this doesn’t come often, which is why we’ve got Bogart Spirits offering a free drink on arrival to all guestlisted and ticket holding attendees on the night.’
‘Obviously 24 Kitchen Street is an incredible venue for independent and signed music and Mackenzie is going to light the place up!’
Supporting is Singer/Songwriter Molly Green, making for a night of songs you know, songs you don’t, great drinks and good company. Just bring yourself and some good weather.
