Hello Kitty Fuller! Baltic’s Very Own Fashion Illustrator

Hello Kitty Fuller! Baltic’s Very Own Fashion Illustrator

Artist and Illustrator, Kitty Fuller, is teaming up with body confidence campaign, Beautiful, to host a live fashion illustration event.

She will be presenting her new body of work ‘The Crying Girl Series’ at the RAW Catwalk at British Style Collective 2017.

Crying Girl Scouse is just one of many illustrations from her new work and it was created especially for BSC17.

BSC includes discussions around wellbeing and healthy body image.

Kitty’s new chain of tearful women will, without a doubt, be spectacular.

The event – based in the Baltic Triangle – attracts fashion students and aspiring illustrators.

They can sign up for interactive classes at the citywide fashion and beauty festival.

As well as showcasing her new line of illustrations, Kitty will be offering the audience advice on techniques to create their own illustrations.

Students can draw inspiration from her and learn about positive body image and diversity in fashion at the Creative Hub, Constellations.

Kitty – also known by her real name Sarah Fuller – is being sponsored by Investec and said: “This event offers a fantastic platform to bring together fashion, art and education.

“With mental health issues on the rise, it’s imperative we maintain an option to teach and engage with students of all ages through the medium of art, and illustration plays an important part in this.

“The Investec sponsorship enables me to reach even more people with this message.”

Kitty fell in love with this city when she visited England in the late 90s and by 2000, she made the city her home.

Her teenage years included a fascination with fashion and art and an obsession with Pop Artist, Roy Lichtenstein.

She is now a Lecturer in Fashion Illustration and Fashion Photography at Liverpool’s Rare School of fashion.

Co-founder of the school, Shaun Kearney, – who is Vice President of the women’s sportswear brand, Fabletics, said: “We are so fortunate at the Rare School of Fashion to have Kitty be part of our team.

“She is an incredible artist and each piece of her work is a masterpiece.

“She inspires our students with her passion to draw and she continues to blow me away with her work.”

Kitty will be selling prints of her original fashion illustrations at The Shopping Halls Stand 284 in Gift & Home, at Exhibition Centre Liverpool and at Echo Arena Liverpool.

BSC17 will be hosted across five venues and is set to take over Liverpool from 7-9th July 2017.
