The Baltic Triangle is not only known for its creative spaces and delicious food and drinks outlets. Over the last few years, it has become a focal point for musicians from Liverpool, and artists from around the globe, to showcase their talent and bring music-lovers together.
With an eclectic range of genres and live performances across the area every week, there is something to suit everyone’s taste. Here’s a look at some of the venue’s in the Baltic Triangle and some of the upcoming events to look out for:
District
District is one of the best venues on Liverpool’s music scene and their live music programme is as good as anything in the city. The regular home of events such as Positive Vibration festival, Psych-Fest and now Sound City, the former home of the picket is always replete with amazing music and a plethora of different acts around the world.
Before the turn of the new year, District is host to a number of nights including Sal-Soul and Dished – Expect everything from Club Classics to Modern Disco Anthems all night long from the event’s resident DJs.
Then the new year brings a couple of exciting acts courtesy of District’s partnership with Harvest Sun Promotions. First up the amazing and hazy psych-styling of The Lucid Dream which is followed later in February with a performance from International Teachers of Pop – the new brainchild of the mastermind behind 2017’s most exciting breakout, The Moonlandingz.

Hangar34
Hangar34 have launched a new live event This is Indie which is set to become a regular gig in 2019.
This Is Indie : Thomas Turgoose (This is England) DJ set was a massive success and the fun continues with FREE indie rave This is Indie. This is Xmas!
Expect all your favourite sing-a-long indie anthems with a festive twist from resident DJs and special guests in the epic Hangar 34 warehouse.This is Indie. This is Xmas! will incorporate everyone’s favourite indie anthems and then be host to a huge rave with SFX production for the afterparty.

Punch Tarmey’s
Punch Tarmey’s is not just your average Irish Pub. Since its launch in August, it has quickly become a popular spot in the Baltic for local artists and performers from afar to play some incredible live music.
Following its successful of hosting Mumford & Son’s album listening party this month, Punch Tarmey’s is excited to announce the live music events taking place every Friday and Saturday of December. You can find out all the details, dates and artists right here.
Constellations
Every Thursday, Constellations host free live music events in their bar, and offer 2 cocktails for £10 between 5-8pm.
Whether it be jazz, hip-hop, neo-soul or electronic, the diversity of Liverpool’s home-grown talent is something to behold.
There are plenty of events to attend before the new year including their Roasts & Records Xmas special – an exciting new food concept incorporating an enticing mash-up of really good music and locally sourced, hearty food. The all vinyl affair will be crackling this Sunday with a bi-monthly record market brought to you by our radio favourites Melodic Distraction. Whether you are an avid crate digger or simply just a music lover we can be sure that you’ll have satisfying Sunday.

Blundell Street
Blundell Street is just a stone’s throw from The Echo Arena and Albert Dock and is a must visit destination for locals and tourists alike.
Whether you’re out for your works night out, celebrating a special occasion, or eager to watch some fantastic live music, Blundell Street is the place for you.
Offering a wide variety of genres, from Swing, Soul, Motown, and music from the 60s, 70s, 80s, 90s, Blundell Street’s amazing guest performers, tribute acts and resident DJ’s are not to miss.
Blundell Street hosts live music on Friday’s and Saturday’s, at 3pm during Sunday’s and often Thursday’s throughout the year. Extra dates have been added for over the Christmas period, and acrs such as Mark Shaw 80s chart hits, T- Kay Soul Motown and Cliff Jenkinson Swing, Buble, Rat pack era will be performing in the new year.

24 Kitchen Street
24 Kitchen Street hosts regular club nights, performance art events and live performances that aren’t to be missed. Here’s a few of their upcoming events taking place over the next few months.
As the end of 2018 approaches, Liverpool punk band Queen Zee will give a special first play of their debut album, which takes place tonight. Ahead of its release in February next year, the band will perform the album in its entirety with a variety of guests, bests, drag acts and pop crap. This event is set to end the year on a high and tickets are on sale now.
In the new year, 24 Kitchen Street have plenty more in store.
On 2 February, 24 Kitchen Street presents Omar Souleyman, with support from Jacques Malchance and Giovanna. Souleyman will be making his Liverpool debut after establishing an international following whilst touring across the world. The Syrian wedding singer extraordinaire has performed at Glastonbury, Bonnaroo and more, is a known icon in both world and electronic music.

Tusk Baltic
Not known for it’s live music events … yet! Tusk are putting on a New Year extravaganza to celebrate the turning of another year. This NYE, Tusk are putting on a Jools Holland-themed ‘Tusk-ananny’ with emerging local artist and incredibly talented Tabitha Jade who will be accompanied by her younger sister on the piano. There will be big show tunes as well as a smattering of stripped down versions of her own songs. All of this will be accompanied by a three-course fine dining experience and a couple of glasses of bubbles for good measure. Be sure to get a ticket whilst you still can!
